Easy Operation from the Integrated Touchscreen
The MCI features an integrated 4.3″ touchscreen for operation of the printer and connected hardware, printer maintenance and print-job monitoring. The screen orientation can be rotated in 90° intervals, giving operators flexibility when integrating the printer into different production environments.

Plug & Play Setup
The MCI combines the printer, controller and essential functions into one stand-alone system. Installation takes only minutes, allowing production to begin quickly without complicated setup procedures.

Powerful Print Design with HSAJET® UniDraw
HSAJET® UniDraw for Windows provides an intuitive platform for designing and managing print layouts. Create text, dates, counters, shift codes, 1D and 2D barcodes, GS1 barcodes, QR codes, GS1 DataMatrix codes, logos and graphics.

UniDraw supports flexible layout creation, imported fonts, localized date formats and full Unicode support. The MCI is also compatible with Loftware label design software.

Smart Card Ink Technology
Smart Card technology automatically detects the installed ink cartridge, adjusts the appropriate ink parameters and monitors the remaining ink level. This simplifies operation and helps maintain consistent print performance.

Large Range of Ink Cartridges
The MCI works with HSAJET® HP45si and HP45ai Smart Card cartridges. Black, white and various colored inks are available for a wide variety of porous and non-porous substrates.

Flight Mode

The printer is pre-stitched and can be fine-tuned directly from the controller.

What can the HSAJET® MCI Printer print?

Which software is available?
The MCI is compatible with HSAJET® UniDraw and Loftware label design software.

UniDraw is HSA Systems’ in-house developed design software for creating and managing print layouts. It provides tools for designing text, dates, barcodes, graphics and other variable content.

What is the maximum print height?
The MCI provides a maximum print height of 12.7 mm (0.5″).

How fast can the MCI Printer print?
The MCI can print at speeds up to 182 meters per minute at 300 x 300 dpi. Higher speeds can be achieved at lower resolutions.

What languages are available?
The standard MCI language package includes English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

The user interface and menus can be translated into additional languages. Full Unicode support allows print layouts to contain text in virtually any language, font and character set. Localized date formatting and multiple languages or fonts can also be used within the same layout.

What materials can the MCI print on?
HSAJET® offers HP45si and HP45ai cartridges in black, white and various colors for a wide variety of materials. Depending on the selected ink, applications include paper, cardboard, plastic, foils, blisters, metal, wood, glass, gypsum and other porous and non-porous substrates.

How difficult is cartridge replacement?
Smart Card cartridges are designed for fast, clean and tool-free replacement. The printer automatically identifies the installed cartridge, adjusts the appropriate printing parameters and monitors ink levels.
